This holiday I got two pets. And what pets! These are not regular pets but Michonne’s pets. They won’t be released until the second quarter 2014 but I got early samples of them and let me tell you, these are so cool!
You can get them both or separately but I highly recommend that you get them both. And if you do you also get their chopped off arms as a bonus. Each figure stands around 12-inches (30.5 cm) tall and are fully articulated. You can move the heads, shoulders, waist, knees and wrists. The torso is covered by an realistic skin material that makes them look very authentic.
They are both very detailed and look very realistic. Both the flesh, cuts and stumps (from where the arms has been cut off) are amazing. The pants are also very realistic and as you can see in the photos they are very detailed as well with tears, pockets, belts and so on. This realistic feel goes through the entire pet all the way from the pet itself to its pants and backpack. You can even button and unbutton the waistband on the backpack.
When I unpacked these pets I was expecting figures that were more like the smaller ones that McFarlane is releasing. Those are made of a harder plastic material and are, in some cases, very limited in their movement. That’s not what you get here at all. These pets are more realistic in their movement and have more movement than the smaller ones. The skin material makes them feel more realistic then the ones made of harder material and the overall impression is so much better! They are also very impressive in their size as you can see when you place it between the McFarlane versions.
My favorite of the two pets are Mike (with green boxers) and I really don’t know why that is because there are certainly nothing wrong with Terry (with red boxers). I guess he has that special something… But I would strongly recommend that you get them both. They are a pair and should not be separated from each other. And I happen to know that there will be a Michonne figure in the future and what would she be without both her pets?
So, in other words. Head over to threezero store to order yours now ($130 each or both for $240 and that includes shipping). As I said they won’t be released until the second quarter of 2014 but trust me, they will be well worth waiting for!
